In 2014, the Atlanta Falcons’ troubles continued with the team losing six of their first eight games of the season. With such a talented offense of weapons, they saw themselves struggling due to poor defensive play.  After a successful offseason through the NFL draft and free agency, the 2015 squad is looking to turn things around and take advantage of a weak NFC South.

Quarterback Matt Ryan is looking to connect with his dynamic tandem of receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White while their backfield will be occupied by Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman, who will split carries. If the Falcons offensive line can keep Ryan clean and off the ground, this offense will be lights out in 2015.

Atlanta drafted four defensive players in the 2015 NFL draft in an attempt to beef up and keep their strong offense on the field for as long as possible. Atlanta’s first and second round draft picks Vic Beasley and Jalen Collins are seeing immediate playing time and will add to the development of this improving defense.

Even though this team ended last season with a 6-10 record, it was still good enough for one game out of first place in the meager NFC South. The rest of the division (Panthers, Saints and Buccaneers) has not exactly skyrocketed in talent so if this offense can stay the course with an improved defense, the 2015 Falcons should be in legitimate contention for a post season berth. Be sure to purchase your Atlanta Falcons tickets early this season because when they do get hot, you don’t want to miss out on any of the on-field action.
